Young people get bored easily. Thats a simple fact. So why does it seem like there is nothing for us "youngsters" to keep us busy? In the news we hear about how young people are getting into trouble and just hanging round streets. I'm one of the people that walks streets with my friends at night. We might be a little noisey but we are never causing trouble or drinking. But the reason why we are on the streets is because there is just nothing to do in my local area.Now the council have thrown up some parks which are built for small children and not teenagers. The people broughts us THREE shopping centres! Great! A place were us teens can go and realise we have no money to spend! And even then when we hang around the centre, completely out of the way, we are told to move on!!
And thats it. Thats all we have to do. There is nothing else to do that is free. It's no wonder why some young people have turned to drink. Although I don't support teens drinking maybe if there was more things for young people to do or even just for us to go there would be less teens drinking in the street?
